The spidermonkey,
also called coatá, it is the name that the monkeys of the genre Ateles receive,
characterized by its long members and its extraordinary agility.
The brain of
the spidermonkey is big and it has
certain resemblance with that of the top monkeys of Old World.
The body of the spidermonkey is covered by a gray -
yellowish, black, brown or chestnut-colored hair, which is clearer in the low
parts and the eyes are bordered by a white ring that awards them a typical
aspect.
