DISTRIBUTION

It is distributed from the southeast of Panama, up to Colombia and Ecuador.

In Colombia he lives in dry, humid and cloudy forests occupying most of habitats in which the spidermonkey can appear. They include between 2. 000 and 2. 500 m of altitude in Western mountain range.

State of conservation

At present the spidermonkey he is endangered species, animals as the puma and the man, there are its main predators. The men have hunted for fun and how theirs pet, stopping the very damaged population. In normal conditions it might have a life expectancy of approximately 33 years.
